Pedal-feel is great and they are great for placing. Also, they may seem loose but are definitely not.

Oh nice, I’m partial to my fivefingers myself, although I can understand wanting a closed toecup for accidents/racing. The next best thing is Merrell shoes IMO. I picked up the trueglove recently and the pedal feel is phenomenal.

I always thought that wrestling shoes would make for great budget driving/racing shoes.
Never tested the theory myself, but I bet they’d be great.

The old New Balance minimus shoes were great as well.

The world has enough fat guys in Toms. I’ll stick with my Onitusuka Tigers.

Easy to get it stuck under a pedal I guess, lot’s of countries have laws against flip-flop driving.

I like to wear Xero shoes Z Trek sandals for driving, pedal feel is great and they stay on the foot.

Aw, man. I love the idea of Toms, but could never find a pair that fit my narrow feet without slipping right back off.
I have the ubiquitous Car People FiveFingers, some Frye flats and the usual Car People Pumas that I tend to like for driving, though. I need to get more nicer-looking driving shoes, though. Because.
